November 1963 was a terrible month as the U.S. lost President Kennedy on the 22nd. I've studied the harbor using Google Earth and the opening of Gilligan's Island. To my surprise, I also found the Minnow in the wide harbor shot! It was not known at the time that it would be the series finale, as a fourth season was expected but then canceled.
